When you actually need Enterprise

When Enterprise is not needed
If you have fewer than 500 employees and no holding structure, the "Corporate Portal" edition is usually enough, and it is several times cheaper. That is why Enterprise is the least in-demand edition: most companies in Kazakhstan and the CIS get by with the junior box editions.

Renewal
The rules are the same as for the junior editions: a discounted renewal (within the grace window before the license expires) costs about 30% of a new license price, a standard renewal — 100%.

Why is Enterprise so much more expensive than the other editions?
The license is built for 1000+ employees and includes functionality for large structures: multi-department support, a web cluster, open source code, integrations with corporate systems (Exchange, SharePoint, AD/LDAP) — this is a different class of task than small and mid-size business needs.
Do we need Enterprise if we have 200–300 employees?
Almost certainly not — the "Corporate Portal 250" or "500" edition will be enough, it is 3–4 times cheaper, and it covers most corporate scenarios.
